Speaking as a 98 graduate, I can say that there were a lot of bullies and tight cliques that all would make your life miserable if you didn't conform to their standards. It was more akin to primitive cancel culture than anything. At least with social media, you can communicate with people who have similar interests, and can choose to completely ignore anybody who bothers you. Nothing achieved with technology will ever be as fulfilling as in-person interaction with good friends though.
That's why you shouldn't care about social media and just do what you want to do anyway

Even doing HS in the mid 00s everyone was happier and looked different. I miss the 90s though for sure, it was an awesome time to Live through and just had a certain “feeling” about it that can’t be replicated
In my experience grunge and gansta rap influenced a lot of fashion back in 90s

Now the world is cruel cuz social media, like my 15 year old sister was eating spaghetti at lunch minding her own business and this girl took a video of her and people were putting barf emojis.
Long story short, that girl is pregnant at 15
Fuck Mark Zuckerberg, fuck Steve Jobs, and fuck everyone who is purposely still making social media more addictive.
Now we just where sweat pants and hoodies and don’t bother to do anything with our hair.
