> Social Media Addiction as a GEN Z

☕Buy me a coffee and help support the channel : https://ko-fi.com/lucyalllan

As a Gen Z, I feel like I’ve spent my whole life online. i’ve spent my whole life listening to media outlets tell me the climate is changing, and I don’t even go outside. I’ve spent my life learning languages with apps, instead of having a conversation with a friend. I’ve spent my life learning advice from Tiktoks instead of learning the hard way myself. I decided that I’ve had enough, and I want to experience the world for myself.

  1. Alright you you need to stop making these videos bro you're making places look so bad now there's gonna lose popularity just stop and quit bro find something else to do like got side in touch grass 😡😡

  2. poeple think nature is only pretty online but they dont know natures bauty in the wild

  3. Hoyang Lake is the place where the side character of a movie says “lets go there” but when they’re there, they get lost and get caught by a monster thats looks awfully alot like a squid demon

  4. Maldives has 2 seasons, summer and rainy so you probably came in the rainy season

  5. I’ve been to the Maldives it’s only nad in March April May June September November and December

  6. Limiting time on your apps sounds about as effective as an alcoholic limiting the number of beers they can have in a day. Just not going to work.

  7. I was also highly addicted to my phone, but my phone was stolen and the anxiety and depression I have gotten after that made me realize how much I was addicted to my phone. and I am learning how to live my life without phone. and I am writing this on my pc.

  8. To be honest i live in a country where life outside s*cks more than social media and my parents are super strict they only allow me to go out with friends (neighbors) one or twice a week after i do all my chores .
But i need to get rid of social media special shorts i spent more than 12 hours a day on my phone
Social media has ruined my life i failed every subject last year and now i need a fresh start i need to focus on my education, working out ( I added 20 kg for the last 2 years) , i need to learn French …
But i really don't know how to start. The school year didn't start yet i am alone in my room most of the day . How am i supposed to motivate myself specially that my family isn't that supportive

  9. I limit my social media just to one and setup limit time to 1 hour a day and log out when i'm not using it that help me balance

  10. I honestly think they should stop maximizing attention theft, and create softer versions of their platforms.

  11. Generation Z Wikipedia article was created by username- Her Girlfriend.

  12. I generally only go on social media when I want to be inspired, motivated, or find/engage with community. I see what you are saying, but at the same time I think there is a lot of nuance when it comes to social media usage. For instance for myself as a Black aplatonic aroace woman, it's nearly impossible to find in person community because of how small the community is. Online community is the only way to connect with individuals similar to me. It's also nice to be able to keep up with individuals in my life without having to interact directly, which can be highly draining. I'm not saying social media has no negatives, but I think it's different if you engage with it specifically knowing what you seek out of it and solely engaging with that content.

  13. The elite know the technology they use to brainwash and null a population but you have the choice not to participate lol.

  14. Hi Lucy, I write here from Brazil, but I lived in your country last year.

I'm not from generation Z but from generation Y and I've been off social media for 7 months. Impressive how I am developing, looking at myself and living the moments. I notice that people are anxious, disconnected from the real world.

I intend not to go back and enjoy life as it is.

    A big hug

  15. I can relate with finding myself going back after I diactivated my social media. Still trying my best to get away to get into social media. I really wanted to live my life without social media though but because I am addicted Its so hard.
